ROCHESTER — The funeral for Verona Schultz will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home Chapel in Rochester, with the Rev. Robert Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Schultz, 97, died Sunday (March 30, 2008) in Owatonna, Minn.
Verona E. Kruger was born Jan. 17, 1911, in Hammond. On Sept. 11, 1937, she married Elmer E. Schultz in Bramen, Minn. They moved to Rochester, where Mr. Schultz worked for the Home Bakery and the Rochester school district. He died in 1984. She moved to Owatonna in 2006 to be closer to her daughter. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed growing and working with flowers.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Alvin) Kubat of Owatonna; a son, Richard E. of Rochester; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, five sisters and one brother.
Friends may call one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
