MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings will start and end their 2008 home game schedule by hosting the last two Super Bowl champions.
The schedule announced Tuesday shows the Vikings hosting the Indianapolis Colts on September 14 and the New York Giants on December 28 at the Metrodome. The Giants are the defending Super Bowl champions, while the Colts won the championship the year before.
The Vikings start the regular season in Green Bay against the Packers on September 8. The Vikings’ other game against their longtime rival comes November 9 at the Metrodome.
Minnesota will appear in three prime-time games, including the first matchup with Green Bay. The others will be Monday, October 6 at the New Orleans Saints and Sunday, November 30 when hosting the Chicago Bears.
