AUSTIN -- The funeral for Viola Dorothy Deyo will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Mrs. Deyo, 84, of Austin, died Wednesday evening (Sept. 3, 2003) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Viola Dorothy Gorman was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Sheffield, Iowa. On April 22, 1937, she married Dale Deyo in Osage, Iowa. She was a longtime Austin resident. Mrs. Deyo worked at Hormel Foods Corp. for 331⁄2; years. She held offices at the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club and Grandview Cemetery Board, and belonged to a CB club. She enjoyed traveling and camping.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (Wayne) Weiss of Glenville, Minn., Darlene (Rodney) James of Janesville, Wis., and Pamela (Daniel) Graae of Hollandale, Minn.; a son, David of Austin; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Wayne) Colglaizer of Washington state.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday and an hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
