ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Virginia May Fenske will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes with the Rev. Howard Reinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Fenske, 66, of 1401 26th St. N.W., died Saturday (July 12, 2003) at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
Virginia May Boedeker was born May 6, 1937, in Iowa, attended elementary school in Iowa and graduated from Rochester High School in 1955. On June 24, 1956, she married Robert F. Fenske in Rochester. She lived in Indiana, California and Illinois before returning to the Rochester area in 1974. Her interests included hunting for agates and collecting books and paperweights.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Patricia (Rory) Lundeen of Webster, Minn.; a son, Craig of Rochester; two grandchildren; her mother, Mildred Boedeker of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and three sisters, Donna (Gilbert) Esquer of Whittier, Calif., Marcia (Orville) Peters of Harris, Iowa, and Elva (John) Ellerman of Slidell, La. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and an hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
