Waterloo pitcher Brian Blomquist pitched a four-hit shutout and beat the Rochester Honkers 3-0 in the third and deciding game of the Southern Division Northwoods League playoffs Friday night.

Honkers starter David Hagan allowed only four hits and lasted until the fifth inning.

Blomquist gave the Honkers fits, recording 10 strikeouts and holding the bottom five hitters in Rochester's lineup a combined 0-for-16.

Waterloo won in front of a crowd of 1,017 at Riverfront Stadium.
