It was nice to see green grass when I woke up Sunday morning, knowing there could have been some snow early in the day. Still, the unusually cool stretch of weather continues into the start of the week and will last through tomorrow. Even with the cold start to today and another freeze tonight into Tuesday morning, we’re back to sunshine today and more May-like temperatures later this week.
We’re in for a healthy dose of sunshine and a light breeze today and tomorrow. Despite below average temperatures it’s still feeling comfortable, especially if you can get out and soak up a few rays of sunshine.
May will be getting back to its more normal self in the second half of this week with the return of not only milder air but the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms. Rain is likely Wednesday, especially from the afternoon to through the evening. If you’ve got errands to run, make sure your umbrella doesn’t self-quarantine. Wednesday will remain cool thanks to clouds and rain.
Starting Thursday and lasting through at least this coming Sunday, daily high temperatures will get back to the upper 60s to 70 degrees. There isn’t any “hot” weather in store for us yet but a good dose of normalcy will return Thursday. Along with the warmer air will come a daily opportunity for a shower or thunderstorm; almost tropical compared to May so far.
