After storms rolled through the region late yesterday, today is looking to be much calmer, and not as hot.

High temperatures this afternoon will climb into the mid 80s.

A high pressure system is sliding in behind yesterday’s cold front that sparked the severe weather. This high pressure will push out the clouds, as well as the humidity. Expect plentiful sunshine and a light northwesterly breeze.

The sun will stick around for most of the day Thursday with highs in the 80s before a chance for showers and thunderstorms develops late in the day. A few severe storms are possible.

Isolated showers and thundershowers linger into Friday morning, but the majority of Friday will be dry and sunny with highs again in the 80s.
