In addition to the heat, there will be a few different periods for some strong to severe storms this weekend.
The first being late tonight into early Saturday morning across parts of southeast Minnesota and western into central Wisconsin.
The second round will be Saturday night, with much of the area under the threat for seeing a few severe storms.
Primary hazards will be damaging wind, large hail, and heavy rainfall. Stay weather aware this weekend!
Oppressive humidity is expected Saturday, pushing the heat index into the 100 to 105 degree range during the afternoon and early evening as temperatures climb into the low to mid 90s.
A Heat Advisory is in effect Saturday. If you have outdoor plans and are vulnerable to heat, consider postponing them, if possible. Otherwise, plan accordingly - take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water.
