1. Hayward, 5 p.m. Sunday. One passenger was thrown from a car and three people were injured when their vehicle crashed and rolled. Five people were in the car, which was southbound on 800th Avenue when the accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. The driver said the brakes locked on one side, and it went out of control and rolled twice. Hayward first responders and a Minnesota State Patrol trooper assisted at the scene.
2. Oronoco, Monday. Crews from Fitzpatrick Construction Inc. went to retrieve equipment from a winter storage spot and found a Bobcat tractor and a trailer full of equipment missing. The items are valued at $34,000.
3. 900 block of North Broadway, 12:40 a.m. Thursday. An owl hit a power line and momentarily zapped electricity to more than 1,500 homes, businesses and schools in Rochester. A breaker automatically restored power to most customers. But 19 of the 1,583 affected customers lost electricity from the time of the accident until 2:30 a.m. An RPU repair crew found a dead owl at the base of the power pole. The outage affected an area from the east frontage road of U.S 52 on the west to Second Avenue Northeast on the east, and from 17th Street Northwest on the north to Civic Center Drive Northwest on the south.
4. Stewartville, Wednesday night. Someone saw a small safe near Olmsted County roads 6 and 8 Southwest. The owners were unaware the safe had been stolen from their Stewartville home. Eight U.S. savings bonds and $4,700 in cash were missing from the safe. Some personal documents were left in the safe, and that led deputies to the owner.
5. 3700 block of 40th Avenue Northwest, 8 a.m. Thursday. A Bobcat tractor owned by Heartland Construction was discovered missing from a construction site. It was valued at $45,000.

6. 4500 block of Arctic Fox Road Northwest, 10 a.m. Thursday. A flatbed trailer owned by Bud’s Excavating was discovered missing from a construction site. It was valued at $3,000.
7. Intersection of North Brodway and Rocky Creek Drive, 7 p.m. Thursday. Two cars collided head-on. The drivers were taken by Gold Cross ambulance to Saint Marys Hospital, but injuries were minor. Both car were destroyed.
