RED WING -- A Welch man was sentenced Dec. 20 in Goodhue District Court to 180 days in jail and ordered to pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty the same day to second-degree driving while impaired.
Solomon Daniel Campbell, 20, was also put on two years probation. Under the terms of a plea agreement, four other charges were dismissed.
According to the criminal complaint, Campbell was stopped for driving 103 mph on a county road. The deputy noticed Campbell smelled of alcohol.
