Wild sign four players

ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Wild said Wednesday they signed four players to contracts for the 2002-03 season, including veterans Ladislav Benysek and Matt Johnson.

Benysek, a defenseman, played in 74 games for the Wild last season and led the club with 157 blocked shots. He had eight points and seven assists.

Johnson, a left wing, played in 60 games last season and led the team in penalty minutes and hits.

The Wild also signed center Cory Larose, who played for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League last year, and center Richard Park, who played in 63 games for the Wild last year and scored 10 goals.
