MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Wild signed free agent left wing Rastislav Pavlikovsky from the Swedish Elite League Monday.
Pavlikovsky, 25, played the last two seasons for HV71 Jonkoping, tallying 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists) in 69 games. The 6-1, 180-pounder also scored six points in nine games for the gold-medal winning Slovakian National Team at the 2002 World Championships in Sweden.
Pavlikovsky was originally selected by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. His professional career began in 1993 in Slovakia and has included stints with the IHL's Utah Grizzlies and AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.
