William Edward 'Bill' Ziebell -- Lake City

LAKE CITY -- The funeral for William Edward "Bill" Ziebell will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, with the Rev. Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ziebell, 58, of Lake City, a truck driver for J &; B Pallet Co., died of cancer Thursday morning (July 17, 2003) at his home.

Born Aug. 31, 1944, in Red Wing, he attended Washington Elementary School and Lincoln High School in Lake City. He lived in the Lake City area all his life. On March 26, 1966, he married Judy B. Libor at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. He worked for Jewell Nursery, did carpenter work, was a farm laborer, and was a truck driver for Bud Meyers Trucking, Taylor Trucking and J &; B Pallet Co. in Lake City. Mr. Ziebell was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed truck driving, hunting, fishing and rock polishing.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick (Kayla) and Troy (Jill), both of Lake City; five grandchildren; three sisters, Sandy (Dennis) Burger of Arvada, Colo., Jackie (Jerry) Van De Walker of Mazeppa and Lori (Scott) Hirschi of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and a brother, Robert of Lake City. His parents preceded him in death.

Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation or reviewal.
