William J. Kelly -- Rushford

RUSHFORD -- A memorial service for William J. Kelly will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hoff Funeral Homes-Rushford Chapel, with the Rev. William Kulas officiating. The body was cremated. Burial will be Saturday in Eastlawn Cemetery in Augusta, Wis.

Mr. Kelly, 88, of Winona, formerly of Rushford, died Sunday (March 23, 2003) at Lake Winona Manor in Winona.

Born March 23, 1915, in Osseo, Wis., he grew up on an area farm and after graduating from Osseo High School moved to Bismarck, N.D., where he worked for Fleck Motor Co. On May 19, 1942, he married Edna Coons in Hibbing, Minn. They lived in Bismarck until moving to Rushford in 1954. Mr. Kelly worked for Miller Chevrolet, P &; J Motors and Dahl's Auto Works in Rushford.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terrence (Cindy) of Sacramento, Calif., and Lynn (Sandy) of Pine Island; four daughters, Patricia (Timothy) Pretzer of Zumbrota, Billie Jean (Darol Wiley) Pulkrabek of Hutchinson, Minn., Tammie (Chris) Rothering of Stockton and Colleen (William) Forbes or Eyota; 13 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
