William Lloyd 'Bill' Zschunke -- Austin

AUSTIN -- A memorial service for William Lloyd "Bill" Zschunke will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin, with the Rev. Dr. Andrew Lindahl officiating.

Mr. Zschunke, 74, of Austin, died Sunday (July 30, 2006) at Austin Medical Clinic.

He was born March 13, 1932, in Springfield, Minn. After graduating from Mankato (Minn.) High School in 1950, he enrolled at Mankato State College, graduating with an accounting/business degree in 1954. He became employed by Hormel Foods Corp. the same year. On March 17, 1956, he married Nancy Erickson in Austin. He worked in the sales department, retiring in 1981. A former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, he enjoyed playing golf, walking, bicycling and caring for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, William "Bill" (Jeanne) of Atlanta, Ga., and James (Laura) of Conrowe, Texas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call an hour before the service. There will be no reviewal.


The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
