MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves got by the Phoenix Suns 107-92 Wednesday night at the Target Center, but it was other news that got the attention of team members and fans.
Point guard Terrell Brandon said he is "out for the rest of the season."
Brandon was diagnosed with a cartilage fracture on the surface of his left femur. Brandon said he will have surgery Monday. His injury means Chauncey Billups will remain the Wolves' starter at point guard.
