From staff reports
Assault charges are expected to be filed against a 22-year-old Rochester woman accused of kicking a doctor and technician Sunday while being treated at Saint Marys Hospital emergency room.
Police Lt. John Edwards said police were called to the hospital about 3:45 p.m. after the woman allegedly kicked a doctor in the hand and a technician in the face.
Edwards said the woman had sought treatment for an undisclosed problem. He said the staff said she began assaulting the doctor and technician when her blood was being drawn. She was then restrained by Mayo security and police were called.
Edwards said she is being held in the county jail and might be charged with fourth-degree assault.
