A Rochester woman involved in a traffic accident last year in which two children were injured was ordered to pay $935 and serve 60 days in jail.
Heather Jo Pries, 30, 2546 Georgetowne Drive N.W., was sentenced Feb. 5 in Olmsted District Court by Judge Jodi Williamson. Before sentencing, Pries pleaded guilty to one count of criminal vehicular operation causing bodily harm, a gross misdemeanor. Eight other charges were dismissed.
According to a complaint, Pries was involved in a traffic accident Feb. 26, 2001, on West Circle Drive in Rochester.
Authorities said the driver of the other vehicle, Gay Reed, told officers she was driving east on Valleyhigh Drive, approaching the stoplights at West Circle Drive, when the accident happened.

Reed said she was making a left turn onto West Circle Drive and was in the turn lane; the light was green. She told police the other vehicle, driven by Pries, made a wide turn and collided with her vehicle, injuring Reed's two children.
