Work on traffic light in southeast Rochester begins

Post-Bulletin staff

Work has begun to install a new traffic signal at a busy intersection in southeast Rochester.

Rochester’s Public Works Department cautions drivers to expect periodic short delays near Third Avenue and 16th Street Southeast, which is at the southeast corner of the Olmsted County Fairgrounds, or Graham Park.

The signal is expected to be operational by Jan. 9. Winkels Electric Inc. is installing it for the city and Olmsted County, who each have jurisdiction over one of the two intersecting streets.
