Mankato Bethany flexed its muscles Monday in 11-1 and 5-2 wins over the Rochester Community and Technical College baseball team in games played on the RCTC diamond.
Andrew VanLoy struck out 10 batters in the first game for Bethany Lutheran, a private Division 2 school that plays in the Minnesota Community College Conference.
The Yellowjackets got a strong pitching performance in the second game from Jeremie Cordie, who allowed two earned runs.
Rochester (3-7, 2-6 MCCC) plays at North Hennepin today.
