Sediment has built up in the flood control channels and needs to be removed per the operation and maintenance agreement the City made with the Army Corp of Engineers when the flood control channels were constructed. This will be the 4th time the entire channel has been dredged since the channel was constructed. Bike trails along the Zumbro River by the Government Center will be closed during construction.
Projected cost of $1M for this phase of the project. Funding is from the Flood Control Reserves.
