NEW PRAGUE — Authorities say one worker has died and another has been injured in a transmission line construction accident in New Prague.
CapX2020 project spokesman Randy Fordice says it appears a strap suspending the workers broke, causing them to fall to the bottom of a 50-foot hole dug for a power pole.
The CapX2020 project involves power lines that are being strung from Minnesota to South Dakota. Fordice tells KARE-TV ( http://kare11.tv/19i6EWs ) the hole is dug to support a power pole that's 140 feet tall.
