MANKATO — Two people were killed when two cars collided in Blue Earth County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a Chevy Cobalt was eastbound on County Road 90 near Mankato Sunday afternoon and collided head-on with an Oldsmobile Alero. Authorities say officers were responding to the area because they had a driving complaint about the Cobalt prior to the crash.
A passenger in the Cobalt and the driver of the Alero were killed. The State Patrol identified the passenger as 23-year-old Amber Menezes of Mankato. The driver of the Alero was 35-year-old Jonna Martin of Lakefield.
The condition of the Cobalt's driver was not released.
