2 suspected of selling stolen items online

WABASHA — Two people suspected of burglarizing buildings in three counties and selling the items they stole online were arrested Wednesday.

The couple allegedly was selling stolen items on Craig's List and eBay, according to authorities, and an undercover officer made arrangements to buy a chainsaw that was stolen.

Officers found other items that had been stored in Rochester, Stewartville and rural Rochester.

Involved in the arrest were the Southeast Minnesota Gang and Drug Task Force and officials in Olmsted, Fillmore and Wabasha counties, said Sgt. Tom Claymon, of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.

The two are in custody in Wabasha County. The Post-Bulletin generally doesn't name suspects until they've been charged.
