$500 reward offered for those destroying signs

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons who destroyed signs at the Weaver Landing along U.S. 61.

WEAVER — A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons who destroyed signs on informational kiosks at the Weaver Landing along U.S. 61 in in Weaver.

The kiosk is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

In addition to signs, a brochure dispenser, and fishing line recycling container were damaged by several shotgun rounds between Nov. 24 and 27. The are valued at $1,000.

The reward is being offered by the Friends of the Refuge Headwaters, a non-profit organization that supports the refuge.
