A 24-year-old Rochester woman was arrested Saturday night after allegedly making arrangements for sex with an undercover police officer.
The incident began with an advertisement on backpage.com, a free classified advertising site that also contains a section for adult services. Members of Rochester's street crimes unit monitors the site, watching for listings that involve the immediate area.
The woman was contacted via the phone number listed in the ad; a meeting time and place was set up, said Capt. Sherwin. When the deal for services was agreed upon, the woman was arrested.
The Post-Bulletin typically doesn't identify suspects until they've been charged.
