A 25-year-old man walking home from work early Friday morning told police he was assaulted behind the power plant.
According to the police report, the alleged victim was walking on the bike path about 2 a.m. when he was approached by a thin black male, about 6-feet tall with long black hair. The man had a medium-size black dog with him, the victim said.
The suspect asked the man where he worked, the report says, then put him in a chokehold. He allegedly grabbed a bag the man was carrying and fled east on the path.
The 25-year-old complained of neck pain; officers noted redness around his neck, but the man declined medical attention.
The bag carried personal items; no loss estimate was given.
