The Rochester Caledonia Pipe Band made its rounds to several local watering holes on Sunday, bringing cheerful melodies and drumming to all those celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
After playing at three bars from noon to about 1:30, band members, dressed in their green Tartan kilts, white knee-highs and black vests, marched down First Avenue Southwest from the Peace Plaza to Dooley's Pub.
A sunny sky and a crisp 20 degrees set the stage for the two-block jaunt, and about 25 people walked along with the band on the sidewalks, some taking photos and recording video. Then, the small crowd dispersed, with a handful of people following the band into the pub.
After playing for a half hour at Dooley's, the band went on to play at several other locations, including Mickey's Irish Saloon, Beer Bellyz, Whistle Binkies and Beetle's.
