The Rochester Public Works' street maintenance division on Monday will be fog sealing a number of bike paths throughout the city, weather permitting.
The work initially was scheduled for Thursday, but a heavy rainstorm made it necessary to postpone, according to the Public Works Department.
Fog sealing uses a hot emulsion, which takes one to two hours to cure, so the areas being treated will be closed during the work. The city is asking people to give crews ample room to work and not walk or ride through the areas.
The fog sealing is part of the city's ongoing pavement preservation program.
