RED WING — The annual Bluebird Recovery Program Expo to help people learn more about bluebirds and how to help them will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 at Red Wing High School, 2451 Eagle Ridge Drive.
Speakers will explain how to set up a successful bluebird trail to attract hummingbirds to your garden, about environmental changes in bluebird trails and about other birds.
The program started in 1979 when 22 bluebirds were produced from nesting boxes. Now, that's closer to 20,000 a year.
Cost for those registering by April 4 is $8; $10 after that. Cost includes lunch.
