Camera from ignition interlock system stolen

Rochester police are investigating the theft last week of a camera from the ignition interlock system of a car.

The incident apparently occurred sometime overnight Saturday and was reported early today.

The vehicle, with an ignition interlock system designed to prevent the driver from getting behind the wheel drunk, was parked in the 400 block of North Broadway, the report says.

The system includes a small camera to confirm the identity of the driver; the report estimates the camera has a $1,200 value.
