CANNON FALLS — The city of Cannon Falls is making final plans and preparations for its First Thursday Fun Fest on Thursday.
More than 35 vendors will offer a wide variety of goods and services in the historic downtown district starting at 5 p.m., according to a press release from Cannon Falls Area Chamber of Commerce President Patricia Anderson. The event is free and open to the public.
The featured items available at the Fun Fest include handcrafted gear, local honey, wine, unique garden sculptures and "much, much more," according to the press release. Bingo will also be called at 5:30 p.m., while live music from The Tasty Beats is being offered in the Cannon River Winery.
A puppet show, clowns, face painting and free sweet corn will be provided by the Cannon Falls Knights of Columbus.
The city plans to close Mill Street at 4 p.m. to begin setting up for the festivities.
