A car hit a school bus and two houses in northwest Rochester on Thursday afternoon, resulting in injuries to the driver of the car, according to the Rochester Fire Department.
Damage to the bus was minimal. No one was injured. The students were transferred to another bus.
The car damaged a deck on the first house, and siding on the second house, according to Deputy Chief Steven Belau. Damage to the buildings was esimated at $15,000. The damage was not sufficient to damage the structural integrity of the houses, Belau said. No one in the houses was injured.
The crash happened in the 500 block of Fourth Street Northwest. It was reported around 3:45 p.m.
The air bag on the car deployed properly, minimizing the impact to the woman driving it, according to Post-Bulletin staff. The name of the driver wasn't immediately released.
