Clayton and Lorraine Meyer will celebrate 65 years of marriage April 2. They were married at St. Andrews Church in Elk River, Minn., on April 2, 1946. Upon completion of Clayton's service in the Army in 1948, they moved to Austin, where Clayton founded his State Farm Insurance agency.
They have four sons — Michael, Gregory, Timothy and Jeffry — and one daughter, Jacqueline. They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Their retirement years have been split between Brainerd, Phoenix, and Austin, where they still reside. Clayton celebrated his 90th birthday in January and Lori will celebrate hers in May.
