Change is made for pick-up spot for tours

Plans have been made with Walmart for the use of their southwest corner for our tour departures in all of our future trips. We are pleased with this new pick-up site and appreciate your patience as we get the word out.

We made a recent trip to the "On Golden Pond" production at the Excelsior Old Log Dinner Theater. We make yearly visits to this old, quaint, family theater.

This comedy, about an older couples’ family, was cast in the famed movie with Henry Fonda as the 80-year-old cranky professor, Katharine Hepburn as his wife and Jane Fonda as the couples’ daughter. The father (well cast, at the Old Log) learns to bond with the 14-year-old grandson. Blessed with so much charm, honest sentiment, it's a truly enduring show. A strong sentiment was that it as one of their best productions. The walleye and smoked Windsor chop prior to the show were to brag about also.

Upcoming events include:

• June 16:"Guys and Dolls" at the Ordway Theater in St Paul will be our next theater production. This musical is set in the colorful background in New York and is filled with everyone from gangsters to scantily clad showgirls to a doll trying to save their soul. This original 1955 movie starred Frank Sinatra, Jean Simmons and Marlon Brando. You will recognize songs such as "Luck be a Lady", and "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat".

A noon lunch have been planned prior to the afternoon production. The time to sign has been extended with seats available with a 9:15 a.m. departure. Return time about 7 p.m.

May 3:"King Tut" Exhibit and Omni Theater movie of "Mummies". Will depart at 8 a.m.
