Classes at Mower Senior Center make for busy week

There is a lot going on this week at the Mower County Senior Center.

On Tuesday, we will be having a health and weight management class at 9 a.m. followed by a class about reading food labels.

This class is sponsored by Curves and presented by Stephanie Miller. Are you tired of dieting and failing? Gaining back all that lost weight? Or maybe "thinking" about dieting is the closest you’ve ever come to starting a diet? This is the class for you. Stephanie will guide you as you learn to set personal goals, keep a food journal, plan a healthful menu and enjoy success. Also, learn how to stop dieting as you live a normal, healthful lifestyle and keep the weight off.

At 10 a.m. Wednesday, the monthly macular degeneration support group meets. This is a great group to join if you are living with this problem or know someone who is. Come and share your ideas and hear others talk about their challenges and victories.

Then at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, we will be having a seminar on Medicare fraud and abuse. This seminar will be put on by the Southeastern Minnesota Area Agency on Aging. There is no cost for this program, and you will gain knowledge on how to protect yourself and detect fraudulent practices.

We hope to see you here. If you would like to attend any or all of these wonderful offerings, call our front desk at 433-2370, ext 0, or stop by to sign up.
