Hwy 52 85th st bridge Parts of northbound and southbound U.S. 52 were closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on April 16-17, 2005 for construction of the bridge overpass at 85th Street Northwest. Zumbro River Constructors were the construction firm overseeing the $232 million highway reconstruction project. Citizens were kept informed of construction delays during the three year project through a www.roc52.com website.

The U.S. 52 corridor continues to have areas under construction for a variety of projects. In mid-July 2013, work began on the 65th Street Northwest interchange, which opened in October.A new exchange in Cannon Falls is under construction.
