Dick Beardsley to appear at 8th Life Run

1987 — 25 years ago

Minnesota long-distance runner Dick Beardsley, who last weekend qualified for the 1988 Olympic Trials, will be the featured speaker during the Rochester Methodist Hospital’s eighth annual Life Run and Family Health Affair.

1962 — 50 years ago

Gov. Elmer L. Anderson will give the address at the dedication of Pasteur Hall on the Winona State campus. The hall is a new $1.25 million science building with 18 laboratories, 12 classrooms, 20 offices and a lecture hall.

1937 — 75 years ago

Approximately 150 Northrop children will participate in the two-act operetta "Polly-Make-Believe."

The Rochester Choral society, under the direction of Orvis Ross, made its first appearance in Saint  Marys Auditorium. The chorus sang an a cappella program.
