Denise Robertson, development director for the Rochester-based Diversity Council since 2008, has left the organization.
Robertson said in an email to media and others Wednesday that her job was eliminated. She said in an interview with the Post-Bulletin that she plans to continue working on-call with the council as a facilitator for Spark, the organization's K-12 anti-bias workshop, and possibly "Becoming the Solution," a corporate training program.
"I will still be a warrior for social justice," she said.
Robertson was on the community advisory work group for the "Race: Are We So Different"" exhibition in 2010, among other projects. She's on the board of the Rochester Civic Theatre and Gay Lesbian Community Services of Southeast Minnesota.
Kay Hocker, the Diversity Council's executive director, declined comment.
