DODGE CENTER — The Dodge County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday recovered a significant amount of stolen property after executing a search warrant on a home in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast in Dodge Center.
Investigators worked through the night to return property taken in multiple burglaries in Dodge and Goodhue counties, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities arrested two people on Monday after a 37-year-old man reported being robbed and beaten with a baseball bat. Shawn Clement of Dodge Center was charged in Dodge County District Court with first-degree aggravated armed robbery, fifth-degree controlled substance violations, receiving stolen property and a felon in possession of a firearm. Tracy Brown was charged with a felon in possession of a firearm and a fifth-degree controlled substance violations. Both are being held in the Steele County Jail.
Officials are still looking for a third suspect involved in the attack.
"We haven't had any other updates," said Capt. Ryer Anderson of the Dodge County Sheriff's Office. "It's still pending further investigation, and we have been getting more information regarding that."
