Driver improvement courses in Rochester and Hayfield

The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer driver improvement courses for people 55 and older in Rochester and Hayfield during the next two months.

The course in Rochester will be Dec. 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at John Marshall High School, located at 1510 14th St. N.W. And there will be a two-part course in Hayfield Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hayfield Elementary School, located at 9 Sixth Ave. S.E.

The courses are open to the public and require pre-registration. A Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center certified instructor teaches the course, using the latest in research in driving safety, new laws and vehicle technology.

The cost for the 8-hour course is $24.
