Event caters to lovers of the outdoors

Calling all sportsmen.

At 8:30 a.m. Aug, 30, we will be hosting a special event. Home of the Brave Outdoors will be at the senior center, displaying hunting and fishing items.

"Always patriotic, I wanted to come up with something that represented this country, and a popular heritage that many families enjoy," said Travvis Stayton, who co-owns the company with his father, Dennis Stayton. "After many months of thinking of ideas, Home of the Brave Outdoors became a trademark, and we started making items an avid hunter or fisherman would use in the field."

Travvis Stayton will demonstrate how to make lures and will make custom lures on request.

"We started a new line of trout lures, walleye crank baits and deer calls," Stayton said. "Our spinning lures are tested for quality and performance before they are available for sale. We have a selection of line production lures that can be used for trout, bass, northern pike and muskie, along with custom lures.

"We also carry a line of deer scent and calls for the upcoming 2010 deer season that will work great for putting meat in the freezer this year."

Come down and watch Travvis make your custom lures.
