MINNEAPOLIS — A Faribault man is sentenced to 180 days in the workhouse for trying to lure some elementary school girls into his car.
Twenty-one-year-old Alex Wolters pleaded guilty to harassment and stalking charges in an agreement with Hennepin County prosecutors.
A criminal complaint says Wolters asked a child near an Edina elementary school for directions and asked her to get in his car. The girl fled. Another motorist who saw the incident got his license plate number and called police.
KARE-TV reports investigators say Wolters approached three more children that day, April 14, 2009. Wolters told police he got lost driving to an appointment.
