The first concert to be held at the new, outdoor Barlow Plaza and Event Center, scheduled for Friday, had to be postponed due to rain.
The first-ever PrideFest Block Party on Friday on the Peace Plaza, however, is going on as planned.
The Barlow Plaza concert featuring Chester Bay will be held Wednesday with the same line-up. Key Lime Special, a local band playing reggae/rock, will open the show at 5 p.m. The Bosben Brothers, an acoustic duo of twin brothers Jake and Cory Bosben of Chester Bay, will play at 6:30 p.m. Chester Bay, a local modern rock band, will take the stage at 8 p.m.
Admission is free and open to all ages. There will be food vendors and a 60-foot bar set up for the event, which will take place in the northeast corner of the parking lot at Barlow Plaza, 1161 Sixth St. N.W.
The PrideFest Block Party was to feature live music by Time Machine. The main PrideFest event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Peace Plaza on Saturday.
