Rochester police say that burglars were in and out of a Verizon store within 20 seconds, making off with thousands in merchandise early this morning.
Police are looking for four suspects connected to the burglary. The suspects shattered a door to gain entry to the business, 3780 Marketplace Dr NW, according to Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin.
Verizon was notified of the break-in, which occurred at 1:59 a.m. The store’s alarm system went off when the door was shattered. A surveillance video recording of the store was automatically triggered, Sherwin said. Police are in the process of reviewing the video.
The burglars mainly took display items, Sherwin said. There were some things officers reviewed that would indicate these were professional thieves, Sherwin said; other things indicated they were not.
