Two fundraisers for World War II veterans to join a Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., are planned in Rochester in May.
Both events are sponsored by the Rochester VFW Post Auxiliary and will be at VFW Post 1215, 16 Sixth St. S.W.
A breakfast event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and juice are on the menu. Tickets are $5. For an additional $2.50, you may make your own bloody Mary.
A chicken dinner will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 26. The price is $7.50.
Honor Flights, scheduled for May, October and perhaps next spring, provide transportation for World War II veterans to see the war memorial in Washington..
