EYOTA — A detached garage and a horse trailer were a total loss after a fire Saturday, according to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.
The garage was engulfed in flames when first-responders arrived, according to Sgt. Scott Behrns. The loss, estimated at about $8,000, includes a $6,500 horse trailer, he said.
The fire at the garage started an adjacent shed on fire, Behrns said. Dover and Eyota fire crews kept the fire from spreading further, however, which was a concern because of dry conditions.
The fire was reported at 10:21 p.m. There is nothing suspicious about its cause, Behrns said.
