GATEway Science Fair needs reviewers

The GATEway Science Fair is Feb. 22, and still needs volunteers willing to review projects.

Reviewers must have a science background that they've used in their career and should be comfortable interacting with students in grades 3 through 6. All areas of science qualify, including lab assistants, doctors, nurses, post docs, engineers and science teachers.

The GATEway Science Fair is not a competition, but organizers do ask reviewers to give encouraging written feedback to the student through a brief review form. Previous science fair experience is not required. Reviewers are trained just before each review session.

Organizers are looking for another 100 people to review projects in each of the two review sessions on Feb. 22. The review sessions are from 1:15-2:45 p.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m. Interested reviewers can sign up at the GATEway website at www.rochestergateway.com .
