RED WING — Repairing a window can be pricey. The Goodhue County Historical Society will offer a hands-on workshop to show attendees how to repair windows on their own.
The workshop, Repairing Old Windows, will be 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 14 from the Goodhue County Historical Society in Red Wing.
The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota and the Minnesota Historical Society created the class to show the tips and tools needed to repair old windows, making them more energy efficient. Attendees will learn to assess windows, repair drafts and fix broken glass.
Historical Society and PAM members will pay $42.50 for tickets; nonmembers will pay $50, and each attendee will receive a special tool for helping with their projects. Tickets can be purchased at the PAM website at ww.mnpreservation.org or by following the link under the event description at www.goodhuecountyhistory.org/events.
