Government offices closed Wednesday for Independence Day

Many offices and businesses will observe the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday by either closing or reducing hours. They include:

• Most city, county, state and federal government offices, including Olmsted County and the city of Rochester, will be closed.

• Rochester Public Library will be closed Thursday and reopen Friday.

• Parking meters downtown will not be enforced on Thursday.

• There will be no mail delivery Thursday, and post offices will be closed.

• The Rochester Recreation Center will be closed Thursday.

• Rochester Public Transit will not offer bus service on Thursday.

• The Post-Bulletin will publish a morning newspaper on Thursday. The business office will be closed.

• Major grocery stores and gas stations in Rochester will be open regular business hours.

• Apache Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday.
